South African State Debt - Fact or Fiction and Is the Mauritian Economic Miracle a Declining Myth: Impact and Consequences on the Economy, Business and the Development Environment
This paper looks at the issue of state debt and its consequences upon the economy of South Africa, given the world economic crisis. On the other hand the paper attempts to look at the island of Mauritius on the basis that, in spite of the fact, that it has made good use of the aid it receives, the paper posits that its current position is now similar to that of Spain, in that, Mauritius is not the 'miracle' it seems.
