The objective of this paper is to provide insight into the experience of some women home based micro entrepreneurs in Kano, Nigeria, with a view to proposing a framework whereby third sector organizations might harness the Islamic philanthropic institution of waqf (plural awqaf) in providing financial inclusion to enhance entrepreneurship development.
